Hong Kong Disneyland and Vietnam 2019/2020
What a journey we had, my family and I travelled on Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong to stop at Hong Kong Disneyland which was a great experience for us all and a fun filled day on lots of rides. We arrived in Hanoi on Christmas day and so begun out Vietnam adventure. We travelled up to North Vietnam by overnight train into the hill tribes and stayed at a family run cinnamon farm, this was a great experience to trek through villages and give some reading books, pens and lollies to a local school. From North Vietnam we travelled south back to Hanoi and a flight to Da Nang, where we explored Hoi An and Hue. From Hoi An we travelled to Mui Ne for some beach relaxation and a holiday within our holiday (always my advice for clients). After Mui Ne we travelled to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), where we caught up with a very old friend of mine from a Cambodia tour that he led many years earlier. Our highlights on this trip were the people, the amazing food, history and culture. For my husband it was the Cu Chi Tunnels, for my son it was getting chased by a buffalo (true story) in Hoi An, for my daughter it was being able to get her toes done and have a massage and for me, Mum it was not needing to cook, clean or worry for 3 weeks. Vietnam is a great destination for people from all walks of life and is especially good for family groups as it is very economical and easy to get around.
