Fiji Yasawa Islands

Fiji Toursim invited me back to the Yasawa Islands (it had been 20 years), oh my!  This beautiful spot is one you have to experience to believe.  To be honest it really had not changed that much, it was still as beautiful and serene as before.  However there have been some awesome upgrades, the menus were very delicious, lots of fabulous cuisine on offer.  Your accommodations anywhere between dorm rooms to exclusive bures, there wasn't anywhere I would not stay.  The highlight was getting to visit twelve of the resorts, which gave me a lot of different options to recommend to my clients when planning the perfect holiday.  We were able to experience first hand the snorkelling which from my experience was some of the best coral and reef that I have seen in a long time.  The highlights for me were swimming with baby reef sharks, entering and swimming inside the famous Blue Lagoon Caves (think Brooke Shields) and meeting gorgeous people and feeling like even though I was at work I was off the beaten path and able to relax.  If you are looking for a slice of heaven on earth, let me know and I will hook you up with the holiday of your dreams.

I was lucky enough to be invited by Fiji Toursim to experience the Yasawa Islands, it had been over 20 years since I had last visited this beautiful part of the world.  We were taken to see twelve resorts over 5 days so we had a busy time getting around on an off boats, both large and small.  During the time, I got to experience true Fijian culture, and generosity of spirit, which just comes so naturally to the Fijian people.  We got to snorkel on some of the most beautiful reefs I have seen in a long time, we were able to snorkel with baby reef sharks, swim in caves and learn about the reef eco systems.  The food was divine, from fresh seasonal fruits, to fresh fish and anything else your hearts desire.  Your accommodations range from dorm style to full on exclusive bures, and everything in between.  If you want to experience paradise, get off the beaten path and truly relax in style, then this is the place to be - I will be back and won't leave it 20 years this time.
